Quick Response During a Heart Attack

When a person is having a heart attack, they will either have chest pains that last for more than 15 minutes or they will have no symptoms at all. Indigestion, nausea, and persistent discomfort or pain in the jaw or neck may also be symptoms of a heart attack, along with a number of other possible manifestations. These should not be disregarded in any way.

You must maintain your composure and assert your authority if this occurs. Call your local emergency medical services for help.

As a well-known Medical Center in Waterford, Michigan, we share these tips so that you would know how to help out when you encounter a victim of a heart attack.

  • Have the victim remain calm and allow them to either sit or lie down, depending on their preference. Keeping them calm is more important than anything else.
  • Have them chew and swallow aspirin. However, avoid doing so if they are allergic to aspirin or their doctor has advised them never to consume it.
  • If the victim’s breathing suddenly stops, call for help immediately. If there isn’t anyone who can help, you may always contact 911, and they will send an ambulance service to pick you up.

At Assist 1 Medical Center, we provide our students with Basic Life Support or BLS Training to keep them prepared when they are in critical situations.

And when they are all set to be deployed in hospitals, or clinics, we send them to institutions needing Medical Staffing in Michigan.

We also provide other services such as Imaging Services for further diagnostics of patients using our state-of-the-art facility. So don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
